“Domain Registry of America” and their Sleazy Direct Mail Ad

Last week I received Domain Registry of America the mail below by post.

“Domain Registry of America” and their Sleazy Direct Mail

At first glance it seems to be a notice that my domain is going to expire and I must renew it with them. If you read the fine-print, they are careful with their words not to commit fraud, but it is a sleazy way of doing business.

  1. Hello, I’m trying to contact you about Spellcheck plugin.
After wild guesses about your new email address, I hijack this post as a last resort, sorry !

    Hello,
I think that I’ve fixed bugs related to SpellCheck plugin :

Are you still maintaining it ?
My solution still needs lots of clean-up, but I’m willing to submit it.
Please contact me if you’re interested.

    Cheers,

  2. Hi Eric,

I am no longer maintaining the SpellCheck plugin. I have not been following the JEdit community for years, but do not think anybody is maintaining the plug. Please feel free to take it over.

    Good luck.

    regards,
    csw
